Awards and Honours

The Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning takes pride in winning many awards and honours it has achieved nationally and internationally. Noteworthy among these are publications of books, articles, research projects, scientific and professional titles, creation of lasting works, and national and international awards in architecture and urbanism.

The list also includes the presence of the library, the Centre for Documents and Research, the Centre for Innovation, the Fab Lab, the Art of Engineering workshop, multiple research nuclei, acting as national scientific hubs, preparation and publication of sources such as Soffeh, Ganj Nameh, the Encyclopaedia of Iranian Architecture and Urbanism website, and the Yearbook.

Books Published by Faculty Members:

The Faculty takes pride in many awards and honours it has won, both nationally and internationally. Among them are the publication of many books, articles, research projects, and winning scientific honours and awards, creating works which stand the test of time, and many others.

Also noteworthy is the presence of the library, the Centre for Documentations and Research, the Fab Lab, the Art of Engineering Workshop, activities of its numerous Centres of Excellence, the publication of Soffeh and Ganj Nameh, the Encyclopaedia of Iran’s History of Architecture and Urbanism, and the Yearbook, as detailed below:

  • • The publication of Ganj Nameh in more than 20 volumes, presenting 600 historic works in a single collection, awarded Art book of the Year in 1999 in Tehran’s 17th international book fair
  • • The presence of the Centres for Excellence run by the Faculty’s high-profile academic members
  • • The history of an educational/research technical office, and its contribution in important national and international projects
  • • The presence of the Art of Engineering workshop
  • • The presence of the Centre for Documentation and Research as one of the richest data banks of the country
