Construction
Initiated in 1964, the Construction Department enjoys one of the longest histories among others in the Faculty. The department is responsible for MSc courses in Project Management and Construction, Building Sciences, and the construction-oriented Architectural Technology. Initiated in 1999, Project Management and Construction is the earliest established, with the aim of boosting knowledge and skills of project management in both general and specialist levels for the construction industry. Architectural Technology and Building Sciences followed in 2016 and 2017 respectively, with the aim of improving the understanding of construction processes, the role of modern technologies in contemporary developments, and improving architects’ knowledge about high-efficiency buildings and building performance analysis in terms of energy, comfort, and environmental impact.
